The building is based on famous American dancers Fred Astair and Ginger. A tower made of rock is used to represent Fred. This tower also includes a metal head. A tower made of glass is used to represent Ginger. The very non-traditional design was controversial at the time because the house stands out among the Baroque, Gothic and Art Nouveau buildings for which Prague is famous, and in the opinion of some it does not accord well with these architectural styles.
Riding along riverbank of Vltava, we reach to national Philharmonic Hall (Rudolfinium), pass near the Old Jewish Cemetery and Old-New (Staronova) Synagogue which is the oldest synagogue of Europe.
